在SLi效能上,PT894Pro的情况和K8T890Pro一样,当在低解像度上,由于所需要的频宽较细,因此就系是采用x4(1GB/s)的速度,与nForce 4 SLi Intel Edition相距不大,但当解像度提高及开启AA模式下,效能就会出现分野,因为nForce 4 SLi Intel Edition是以x8(2GB/s)速度运行SLi,因此较有优势。
现在市面上亦有Intel主板提供Dual PCI-Express绘图接口,例如Gigabyte的i915P主板GA-8I915-DualGraphic及Intel最新i955X的Desktopboard 955XBV,虽然和VIA的PT894Pro一样,采用x16+x4的架构,但由于Intel的北桥只有16个Lanes PCI-E,根本不能达成Dual PCI-Express绘图接口,但却利用ICH内建PCI-Express Lanes原理,以南桥达成第二组PCI-Express接口,但延迟值必大幅提高,并没有VIA的DualGFX只在北桥内运作来得宜接,因此我们可以看到VIA的PT894Pro和i955X都是以x4 (1GB/s)运行SLi,但VIA的PT894Pro则较好优胜。

后记
其实今次VIA K8T890Pro及PT894Pro并非走游戏玩家路线,而是工作站专业路线,因为不少行业都对多显示器输出有一定的需求,而VIA的K8T890Pro及PT894Pro无疑是一个不错的选择,以平价的显卡达成多显示输出,代替贵价的工作站绘图卡。用家亦应把Dual GFX的概念和SLi拉远点,谁说拥有两条PCI-Express x16绘图接口的主板一定要用来SLi呢!?
